Deus Ex: Human Revolution publisher Eidos-Montreal has announced that the code for the forthcoming sci-fi shooter-slash-RPG has gone gold.

This means that the coding process has finished, so the final code only needs to be prepared for distribution.

This not only involves pressing thousands of DVDs, printing the boxes and so on, but also uploading the code to Steam’s and OnLive’s servers.

The announcement reiterated that the game will be on sale in Europe on August 26 this year, and will be available for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution is one of the most eagerly anticipated releases of the year, despite the absence of a Deus Ex release for the last eight years and a cluttered calendar of other triple-A titles due in September and November.
