• Moorestown to give MIDs the shrink
  Anand Chandrasehker showed off a Moorestown PCB at the end of his keynote. It's smaller than a credit card!
  
  
• Intel to release its own SSDs later this year
  Intel is set to release its own Solid State Drives later this year. Performance looks impressive so far.
  
  
• Calpella is Nehalem based, will follow Montevina
  Calpella is the platform that will follow on from Intel's upcoming Montevina platform. It's based on Nehalem.
  
  
• Intel to deliver MIDs to market within 60 days
  Anand Chandrasehker said this morning that Intel will deliver Mobile Internet Devices to market within 60 days.
  
  
• Montevina will double IGP performance
  Dadi Perlmutter showed Intel's next-gen Montevina mobile platform running several 3D games. He said it'll double IGP performance in games.
  
  
• Gelsinger kicks off IDF Shanghai with Larrabee
  Pat Gelsinger kicked off IDF this morning with talk about how he believes Larrabee will change the visual computing industry.

  Intel's researchers talked about a new parallel programming model called Ct - it's designed to make threading exceptionally easy.
