Bioware and EA have delayed the release of the Return to Ostagar expansion just one day before release.
Bioware and Electronic Arts have announced that the
Return to Ostagar downloadable expansion for
Dragon Age: Origins has been delayed indefinitely just one day before the original release date.
The news was broken by Bioware's Chris Priestly on
the official Dragon Age: Origins forums, who didn't provide any further details on why the expansion had been delayed or how long fans would have to wait.
"
We're sorry but the planned Return to Ostagar downloadable content scheduled to launch on January 5th has been delayed for all platforms," he wrote. "
We will update you as new information becomes available."
The expansion was set to cost 400 Bioware Points (£3.10) on PC, 400 Microsoft Points (£3.40) on Xbox 360 and £3.99 on PlayStation 3, but it's unclear if the delay will affect the pricing at all.
Return to Ostagar focuses on the eponymous battlefield where the Grey Wardens were nearly wiped out by an army of Darkspawn and would give players access to new kit, quests and areas.

although im disappointed by the news, i'd rather wait a bit more and have it polished up.. it sucks when a game you've been waiting for is released too soon and is full of bugs that make it unplayable, i guess the same applies to dlc too.
One of the best games of the year if not the best.
Although in terms of the delay, i'd rather have it working than a buggy release, theres been a few games ive never touched again on my shelf because of the buggy launch. Arma 2 for example..
