Day Two:
- Yorkfield to launch at 3GHz
Intel's first 45nm desktop part, the Core 2 Extreme QX9650, will launch at 3.00GHz on a 1333MHz front side bus.
- Mobility is driving into the mainstream at pace
Intel has said that mobility is now mainstream and shipments are on schedule to overtake desktop shipments in 2009.
- Intel unveils Montevina – next-gen mobile platform
Intel has disclosed some information on its next-generation mobile platform, codenamed Montevina.

Day One:
- Westmere is Nehalem's successor
Gelsinger has revealed that Westmere is Nehalem's successor. It's an evolution of the Nehalem design and will include a few refinements.
- Nehalem adds 7 more SSE4 instructions, SMP working
Pat Gelsinger delivered a few more tidbits of information on Nehalem. SMP is already up and running with QuickPath technology.
- USB 3.0 to arrive at superspeed in 2008
Pat Gelsinger announces the formation of the USB 3.0 promoters' group. Specification will be finalised in 1H08.
- Gordon Moore joins IDF’s 10th year celebration
Gordon Moore, the father of the microprocessor and the industry's pace maker, joins in IDF's 10th year celebration.
- Intel has answers to AMD's Fusion
Intel says it will propel integrated graphics performance by a factor of ten by 2010. Will this be enough to take on Fusion?
- Larrabee is Intel’s entry into discrete graphics
Otellini talks briefly about Larrabee's capabilities during his keynote.
- Wolfdale breaks seven world records
During Otellini's keynote, three world records were broken with an overclocked Yorkfield processor live on stage and another four were broken before the keynote.
- Penryn will launch on November 12th
Intel has revealed that the first of 20 processors that make up the Penryn family will launch on November 12th.
- Intel demonstrates first working 32nm chip
Otellini showed off the world's first working 32nm chip and says Intel is on track for volume production to start in 2009.
- Nehalem is up and running with 8 cores, 16 threads
Intel CEO Paul Otellini unveiled the company's next generation architecture during his keynote this morning. Say hello to Nehalem.

- Intel says the future is in Mash Making
Intel says that the future of the Internet is in Mash Making. And we're not talking about mashed potatoes...
- Intel has world’s fastest Si-Ge Photo detector
Intel has developed a silicon- and germanium-based photo detector that can detect laser light signals at over 40Gbit/sec.
