Warrington, United Kingdom – 18th September 2012 – VIP Computers, one of the UK’s largest independent distributors of components, peripherals and consumer products has proved that PC gaming is alive and kicking with their Evolution event last Friday, which was attended by over 400 resellers from across the UK.
With VIP’s mission to value in distribution; Evolution Expo was designed to clearly demonstrate just one way in which VIP Computers can do that for both resellers and vendors. The event was so successful that VIP received 100% vendor endorsement to do it all over again next year. Evolution 2 is penned in for Friday 6th September 2013.
Microsoft’s breakout sessions were extremely popular with Windows 8 and Server 2012 previews. All 3 sessions were packed out and extra room space had to be organised.
The other highlights from the Expo were the new ASUS Taichi notebook-tablet, exclusively previewed at Evolution and the first outing in the UK. In addition, NVIDIA’s 3D motion gaming rig drew in the crowds, especially with their fastest lap competition.
Dave Stevinson, VIP sales director said: "VIP clearly demonstrated that an exhibition is the best way to build channel relationships. It was wonderful to see our resellers meeting face to face with our key vendors. Everyone had a great time and I have been overwhelmed with emails, texts and calls of gratitude."
"PC Gaming demand is surging and our vendors were able to take the time to share their expertise with our resellers in order that they are in best shape to deal with this opportunity. Now it is up for the VIP Sales team to ensure that the opportunities are maximized," concluded Stevinson.
