DeepCool has announced the impending launch of a premium PC case, complete with pre-installed liquid cooling system: the Genome Gamer Storm.

Designed for compatibility with ATX and smaller motherboards, the DeepCool Genome is certainly eye-catching: the front panel is split into two and angled, as a means of drawing attention to a double-helix reservoir mounted dead centre - and looking for all the world like the T-Virus vials from the Resident Evil film franchise. This forms part of the pre-installed liquid cooling system which boasts a 360mm radiator and three PWM-controlled LED-lit fans, with additional LEDs provided around the reservoir and supporting a user-configurable 'breathing' animation.

Naturally, the case - which weighs a hefty 9.77kg unloaded and is manufactured from 0.8mm SGCC steel and ABS plastic - supports plenty of hardware. As well as the ATX, mATX or mITX motherboard, the case has room for graphics cards of up to 330mm in length, 120mm radiators front and rear, seven expansion cards, four 2.5" drives, and two 3.5" drives - though, thanks to the front panel's design, no 5.25" drives. An additional two slots are provided for installing graphics cards vertically rather than horizontally, though no PCI riser ribbon cables are provided for this purpose.

Additional premium tweaks to the Genome's design include improved cable management, a redesigned top panel for improved ventilation, a larger CPU cutout area, dust filter and anti-vibration rubber mount for the power supply, a segmented internal layout, and a pre-installed side window.

DeepCool has confirmed plans to launch the case this month, priced at a US recommended retail price of $249.99 with UK pricing and availability yet to be confirmed. More information is available on the official product page.
