Cooltek has announced the impending launch of the GT-05 Mini Tower, a more compact entry into its Gaming Tower case series.

Based on the design of its existing series, the Cooltek GT_05 features a piano-black lacquer finish with one 3.5" and one 5.25" externally-accessible drive bays. An angled line running through the front and top of the case has a matte-black finish, but green, orange and white coloured options are bundled for swapping out - as are matching power and reset buttons - allowing for for Cooltek somewhat breathlessly calls 'almost unique individualisation.'

The case features a hinged design which allows the top to be flipped frontwards with the loosening of two screws, providing easy access to the motherboard, cooler and graphics card areas which are located in the upper 'thermal zone.' A lower zone plays host to the power supply and two 3.5" drive bays, while a 2.5" drive can be installed in the opper zone. Four PCI expansion slots are available at the rear, while the case supports graphics cards of up to 340mm in length and CPU coolers of up to 165mm.

Overall, the chunky case measures 265mm by 405mm and is 354mm tall, and comes bundled with a single 120mm extraction fan at the rear. Vents are provided for an opional 120mm or 140mm fan at the front and a further 120mm fan at the top of the case. Micro-ATX and mini-ITX motherboards are both supported, although Cooltek warns of compatibility issues with mini-ITX boards and wider-than-average CPU coolers.

The Cooltek GT-05 is due to launch next week, with UK pricing yet to be confirmed. Its European recommended retail price has been set at €49.99 (around £36), with more information available on the official product page.
