Synology is set to host a series of public launch events around the world to celebrate and showcase the next edition of its DiskStation Manager (DSM) operating system as well as some new and upcoming products.

At 'Synology 2015: DSM and Product Launch', Synology will unveil the next version of its home, SMB, enterprise and surveillance technologies. Specifically, the latest revision of the DSM software will be on show. DSM is an operating system for Synology's wide range of NAS products, and it has generally proved to be very popular – you can see just how well Antony got on with DSM 5.0 here. New NAS products set to come to market during or after Q4 2014 will also be showcased.

As mentioned, multiple events are being hosted over the world throughout September 2014. There are currently confirmed events in the UK, France, Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland and Poland, with details for other countries coming soon (see the full list here).

The UK event will take place on Thursday, September 18th 2014 at the Millbank Media Centre in Millbank Tower, London. Doors open at 12pm, though the first presentation isn't until 1pm. There will also be a second presentation and the chance to win a Synology DiskStation product in a prize draw. The event will conclude by 4pm.

Synology has promised that anyone in attendance will be able to get pre-sales and technical advice from the Synology UK team. There will also be the opportunity to go hands on with Synology NAS products and DSM, and attendees will also receive a goody bag worth over £40.

As a public event, it's not limited to members of the press, and registration for all is free and simple; just follow this link and fill out your details. You'll be sent a uniquely bar-coded ticket, and you'll need a printed copy of this on the day – electronic versions will not be accepted, sadly. Space is limited so please be sure to cancel if you can no longer attend so that someone else can take your seat.

At least one of the bit-tech team should be in attendance at the London event, so please do come and say hi if you're in attendance. And yes, we've already requested that cheesecake be served.
