Nvidia has released a new set of GeForce graphics card drivers adding several new SLI profiles and enhanced 3D compatibility.
The drivers are recommended for Codemasters' GRID Autosport which releases later this month.
The GeForce 340.43 beta drivers are especially recommended for players looking to pick up Battlefield: Hardline, which releases in October, and GRID Autosport, which launches later this month.
The drivers will also add SLI profiles for titles including the Elder Scrolls: Online, Dark Souls 2 and Wildstar.
The 340.43 update will also enhance stereoscopic 3D play with a new 3D compatibility mode for its 3D Vision feature. The update focuses particularly on optimising this feature for Bioshock Infinite’s Burial at Sea DLC, Banished and Krater as well as pushing a series of bug fixes to 3D functionality.
Nvidia warns that the new driver is still in beta but also that it is ‘game ready’ so players should not experience any serious bugs. The update can be acquired through the Nvidia GeForce experience panel by making sure the ‘include beta drivers’ option is checked or directly from the Nvidia website.
Nvidia's most recent big release was its GM107 Maxwell GPU in the form of the GTX 750 1GB and GTX 750 Ti 2GB, which launched
earlier this year. A second wave of graphics cards that cater to ‘enthusiast segments’ is expected to be released later this year.
