Cooler Master gaming mats.
COMPUTEX 2009: To further widen its Storm of gaming hardware, Cooler Master will launch the Sentinel gaming mouse and accompanying mouse mats for the gamer who wants to co-ordinate.
The Sentinel isn't just a rebrand, it's a custom design by Cooler Master that features dual IR lasers, custom weights in the back under a cover and up to 5,000dpi in separate X and Y axis, which can be checked on the OLED screen in the top.
This setting can be assigned to profiles and selected at the touch of a button. The right handed mouse is designed for palm resters rather than finger twitchers, and each setting has its own colour scheme which Cooler Master claims adds to ease of profile identification at the flick of an eye.
Likewise the mouse scroll wheel is especially clicky to know exactly how far it is pushed for weapon selection for example.
Finally, for the ultimate personalisation, the Storm logo on the OLED screen can be customised to suit the tag/logo of the person or clan.
As for mice mats - one will likely come bundled with the mouse, along with an anti-theft PCI bracket as well! The rest of the mice mats vary in size, shape and material - some hard plastic, some softer cloth: Cooler Master is planning a variety of "gamey" bits on, as well as Storm logos, etc.
Gimmicky or pretty cool niche features? Enough to take on the might of Razor? Let us know your thoughts in the forums.

+1. Also, note that Cooler Master gave it ratings on the back of the package for various parameters.. handy how it's never below 8/10 ;)
Mouse looks a little large. And dual lasers? Is that a first? Or am I behind the times.. Seems a little excessive anyhow.
Oh, and the mousemat looks godawful. I like my Nova Winner 3 (small).
Edit: A bit of research tells me the Battle-Pads are simpler mousemats, there are also the overdone Weapon Of Choice series of mousemats.
Finally, a mouse for gamers made by gamers.

Actually, dual lasers are the future! Can't wait to get my mitts on this new state of the art frag machine.

I really don't know what is the big deal with SS, all the pads look the same black with white logo. guess it is different strokes for different folks.
The mouse looks like junk. Gaudy, fiddly and that base looks like a dragger's NIGHTMARE.
The only thing I like is the simpler looking of the mousepads.
Definitely too gimmicky. Razer won't be losing any sleep over this. By the way bindi, it's misspelled in the news post (Razor).
P/S This guy talking on the video have a nice voice ;)
out of all those mouse mats, i'd only buy the pure black with a small logo in the conner.
also, unless the "OLED" actually shows the speed which the mouse is operating, it's pointless, just like PSU with LED.
I bellieve Cooler Master has slapped Razer in the face with a frying pan.
