For those in the market for a new monitor, you might want to check out the latest launch from the big boys at Dell.

The 207WFP is the little brother to the well-established 2007WFP. Both screens have a 20" panel with 1680x1050 resolution, and both have a DVI port with HDCP compatibility for next-gen content. The 207 lacks the USB ports, composite and S-video inputs from the 2007, making it less useful for those who want to hook up a multitude of sources to it.

However, the panel lag time is a mere 5ms, making it a decent monitor for gaming. The price is a stonking one - at $299 (around £200 here, we suspect) it is pretty good value for money.

The display will be available in the next couple of days, so keep your eye on the Dell store for full details.
