Larian Studios is offering a $5000 reward for stolen PCs containing alpha code.
Divinity developer Larian Studios has been the victim of a theft from the business area at GamesCon 2012 which saw two desktop PCs taken from the show.
The PCs contained alphas of both Dragon Commander and Divinity: Original Sin, which Larian was demoing at the show and which we'd planned to see tomorrow - how could we resist the lure of dragons, jetpacks and strategy?
The studio is now offering a $5000 USD reward for information resulting in the successful return of the PCs or the identification of the culprit.
We, meanwhile, will be shown the games on back-up units - which is good because Dragon Commander really impressed us at GamesCom 2011
. There's even a little exclusive on the game in the upcoming Issue 109 of Custom PC Magazine...
"We're asking the game community to band together to track these criminals down and to get the games back!
" the developer said in a press release.
Anyone with information about the theft is urged to get in touch as soon as possible - visit the Larian booth at the Business Hall 4.2, Booth A-16.
