Cue pages upon pages of argument over the difference between a tank, a tank destroyer, an assault gun and a self-propelled gun.

Clearly it was a KV with a Derp Cannon.

as a 'merican i would tend to agree, but it costs a lot to ship a package from the UK to the US and can take forever etc.

Stop fooling around people, we all know the P 1500 Landkreuzer roamed in their hundreds of thousands during WWII :)

THIS!

At least give us this one as a UK exclusive!

I won't enter however - mine arrived this morning, and I'd rather let someone else get involved.

Speaking of which, anyone want my invite code? Every gamer I know has already either tried WoT and not carried on, or has played it too much for it to be useful. It has to be linked to a brand new account (IE you make the account after typing in the invite code).

(must have been a member here for >1 month, with >10 posts, and I'll pick at random anyone who wants it who posts after this)

Yes it's turned into a win WoT in a win WoT thread!

I would like to try WoT :-D

what was the answer?
Lizard 13th December 2011, 11:03 Quote
The answer was the Soviet T-34 medium tank.
Omnituens 13th December 2011, 11:45 Quote
Yeah at one point in the war soviets were churning out over 1000 of those suckers a month.

I was one of the winners for this game, but I still have not received email etc from the people, just wondering what I do to claim the prize?
Lizard 19th December 2011, 21:18 Quote
Congratulations on winning :)

I passed on all the winners details to Frazer at Wargaming who was going to send out your prize. Can you check your spam filter to see if his email has got through to you yet?
Marvin-HHGTTG 20th December 2011, 12:57 Quote
Lizard, why u no play WoT anymore?

(I don't actually write in that fashion folks!)

Sorry Marvin, I got addicted to Skyrim the last few weeks. I'll be back on WoT at Christmas as soon as 7.0 drops so I can check out the changes.

7.0 has dropped, it was out yesterday. Arty tracers are back, the mediums have been fiddled with, the minimap is now changeable, there are two new maps, new smoke effects, map fixes and so on.

It's pretty good I must say, though 7.1 is just around the corner (there's a test server up now apparently, though WG's site is under maintenance ATM).

Did they nerf HE damage as was initially planned? If so that would make my E100 even more pointless :(

Against high-armour surfaces, yes. So an E-100 shooting HE at the front of another E-100 would do far less damage now than before, but an E-100 shooting HE at the back of a T-54 would still blow the crap out of it.

Hmm, I'll fire it up one night soon then and give it a try although it does sound like the HE nerf is pretty serious for the E100 :(
