Trackmania 2: Canyon release date announced

Trackmania 2: Canyon release date announced

Trackmania 2: Canyon will be released on 14 September for £19.99, says Ubisoft.

Ubisoft and Nadeo have announced a release date for upcoming racing sequel, Trackmania 2: Canyon. The publisher has also revealed plans for an imminent multiplayer beta.

Trackmania 2: Canyon will be released on 14 September 2011 at a cost of £19.99, says the official announcement.

The multiplayer beta meanwhile will kick off on 17 August 2011, which coincides with Ubisoft's plans to exhibit the game to the public at GamesCom in Cologne, Germany.

Trackmania fans unable to attend the show will be able to win themselves a place in the multiplayer beta by pre-purchasing the game from Ubisoft's proprietary store after 17 August.

We had a look at Trackmania 2: Canyon recently and, while we were impressed by the commitment to that old Trackmania charm, we weren't sure the game did enough that was new. Check out our Trackmania 2: Canyon preview for more information on the game.

Will this have the always on net connection DRM?

I must say - I was into this until I saw that it was an Ubisoft game too...

there's hardly any solo player to this - there's a solo mode, but it's a few maps that you'd get bored of very quickly. i hate always on DRM, but in this case i really don't think it would make a difference

as for no stadium... nations is free, people wouldn't buy it for stadium when they already get it for free

Because nobody buys sequel's or updates of games do they? oh wait.
Plenty of united & nations players still use the stadium environment, but as you & I both know servers hosting the other environments have declined quite a bit.

WOHOOO! ...Cant wait for the full on population in this game, it's very very good, and the drift is even better than stadium ...will certainly sort the men from the mice where skill is concerned!

Also it will have more environents in the end, so if Canyon does not suit everyong there will be more selection in the future (as always with TM) ...

Looking forward to this for sure! xD

Gameplay looks spectacular. Will definitely get this (when it arrives on steam).
