Nintendo has confirmed that some of the videos it showed during its E3 2011 press conference, in which it unveiled the Wii U console, were actually from PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game.

Nintendo of America boss Reggie Fils-Aime acknowledged as much in an interview with GameTrailers, where he explained that footage from other consoles was used because the Wii U is still so far from launch.

These games on the Wii U will look just as good as their Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 counterparts, promised Fils-Aime.

'In terms of how good it looks it's going to be driven by what the individual developers do. It's going to be 1080p, it's going to be high definition.'

'You're going to see games that take full advantage of a system that has the latest technology and can push out some incredible graphics.'
