The Witcher 2: Assassin of Kings will be released for PC on May 17, 2011.
CD Projekt has revealed the recommended and minimum system specifications for upcoming RPG sequel, The Witcher 2: Assassin of Kings.

Recommended specs
Processor: Intel Quad Core or AMD equivalent
Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce 260, 1 GB memory / Radeon HD 4850 with 1 GB memory
Memory: 3 GB for Windows XP / 4 GB for Windows Vista and Windows 7
Hard Disk: At least 16 GB of free space
Minimum specs
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2 GHz or AMD equivalent
Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce 8800, 512 MB memory or ATI equivalent
Memory: 1 GB for Windows XP / 2 GB for Windows Vista and Windows 7
Hard Disk: 8 GB for the game installation and 8 GB for bonus materials

While space isn't really that big of an issue for me I really do wonder what sort of "bonus materials" could take up 8GBs of space. Is it in-game content that enhances the gaming experience or out of game content like "the making of the game videos" + "game soundtrack". . . I'd certainly like to know more about what is included with the game as an optional install of 8GBs. :)
Just got the first one off Steam though, figure I'll give it a blast. And if it ends up that I don't like either game then all good, kinda happy to support this cause. Hope it all works out for them and we can see some more exclusive AAA, DRM free PC games in the future.

Not to be pedantic but my 2x8800 GTX's each have 768Mb of RAM and not the 512Mb (8800 GT?) the spec. presumably refers to!
