The BAFTA awards saw both Call of Duty and Mass Effect winning big this year.
The BAFTA awards for games have been handed out, finally, with Electronic Arts and Activision proving to be the big winners, alongside Quantic Dream.
The award ceremony also saw Microsoft’s Peter Molyneux granted a BAFTA Academy Fellowship for service to the industry, joining previous inductees Nolan Bushnell, Shigeru Miyamoto and Will Wright.
All but one of the winners were elected by a panel of judges. The only publicly chosen award, the GAME Award of 2010, went to Call of Duty: Black Ops.

wait what?
Assassin's Creed Brotherhood better be good. can't wait for Friday :D
Like I said in the forum: Autolog. Good call on the innovative system.
I massively agree on this, although it does make me notice how crap other games sfx are now.
Blops game of the year? Pff
I find it hilarious that MW2 seems to have more players than it on Steam now. Great game eh?
If all you want is multiplayer action it's not so bad. And seemingly that's all the masses want. And the game companys don't want to innovate encase the game flops, so they are more than happy to keep dishing out the same crap with a different cover.
If like me you want a solid 1-player experience like Half-Life 2 then you silently curse every COD/Battlefield type game that releases. That said, Battlefield 3 does look ffing good so far..
It will, however, be rather interesting to se this/next years contestants, now that we have some games that might actually be really good coming out this year.
That game was/is such a buggy heap it's untrue.
OK somewhere deep deep down in it's heart there might be the beginning's of a decent game, but for the most part, it's a pile with bugs galore.
I certainly didn't vote for it, and I doubt many BT'ers did. Who decides this stuff anyway?
Just a terribly empty game when you start considering the singleplayer.
completely agree the wartapes setting is amazing!
It's not their top prize. Top Prize was Best Game which was Mass Effect 2.
SMG2 for gameplay? Oh dear...
This just enforces their view that they can charge more for a game which delivers a lot less, release a game whenever they want even if it has problems and just release patches to fix them one by one, and just produce a clone of the same game year on year.
They need to change the title to make it realistic...game of the year without beating any other game on storyline, innovation, audio, or gameplay? hmm right
It wasn't Game of the year..
It was GAME (A UK games company) Award of 2010. In lots of award ceremonys you get the sponsors giving out awards (Such as the normal Bafta's it's Orange I believe?).
Like a people's choice award, not Game of the year.
