Atom Zombie Smasher arrives on Steam

Atom Zombie Smasher has been updated and added to Steam by Blendo Games.

Blendo Games’ Brendon Chung has announced that a Steam version of Bit-Gamer favourite, Atom Zombie Smasher, is now available.

To celebrate the Steam launch, Atom Zombie Smasher has been reduced to a price of $8.99 USD / £5.99 GBP.

The Steam version of Atom Zombie Smasher comes bundled with both the Mac and Linux versions of the game, as well as the PC version. Gamers who have already bought a copy direct through Blendo Games’ website are currently being sent complimentary Steam codes to enable the game on Valve’s digital platform too.

Atom Zombie Smasher is a top-down puzzle-strategy game where players use orbital bombardment, infantry and llama bombs to defend cities from zombie outbreaks. We loved it when it was first released, giving it an Excellence Award in our Atom Zombie Smasher review.

Since then, Blendo Games has updated the game regularly, most recently adding in a new ‘No Quarter’ mode that ups the difficulty by letting zombies invade previously secured territories.

Thats what I was thinking... I wonder if this will help nudge Valve to a Linux client?

Sure The OSX is UNIX based, porting over to linux shouldn't be a massive jump. I remember reading that the code is there it just needs tweeked

I thought I was bored of Zombie games. Decided to try out the demo, now I own it and have been playing it all day.

Played the demo, didn't really like it. Got a little frustrated with certain things with helicopter landings and cannon bombing, it's too fast paced. Wasn't aware it can be paused to change planning/targetting around, maybe that helps?

You can use + and - to slow and speed up the time by increments of 10%, from 10% to 200%.
