Win Battlefield: Bad Company 2 BETA keys

This could be you, right now, if you answer our question on Twitter.

So, got any plans for the weekend? We’ll bet a fair few of you will be gaming, and if we were to offer you a free game, well, you might bite our arms off. How about if we offered you a free game that’s not even out yet? We'd be like that Knight from Monty Python, probably...

Still, we can't let those kind of injuries stop us: we’ve got 190 keys to the Battlefield: Bad Company 2 BETA to give away, thanks to those nice people at EA Store and we’re going to try and get rid of them all in the next two-and-a-half hours. The BETA runs for a limited time only and we want to give you the maximum time playing possible.

To move the keys so quickly, we’re going to use that popular real-time instant messaging service Twitter. All you to do is follow our account (@bittech) and send us the answer to the following question, via either direct message or @reply:

Q. What’s the name of Battlefield: Bad Company 2's developer?

It’s not just BETA keys we’re giving away, either – we’ve got ten bonus prizes. The first prize winner gets five free downloads from the EA Store, worth up to £200, while nine runners up will get a free copy of the full Battlefield: Bad Company 2 game, also from EA Store. These ten winners will be randomly selected from the 190 people who win BETA keys.

We use own our Twitter account to post links to our own stories as well as other interesting finds and behind the scenes info from bit-tech HQ, so we think it’s something you’ll find useful. Ready? Set? GO!

I think you guys shouldn't be posting the beta keys as messages and sending direct message instead. Other people will be able to grab the keys and use them.

I didn't have twitter, but I have it now.
And to be honest with hearing on the podcasts what bit-tech put out on twitter, I am rather glad I have it.
I have no interest at all in posting anything myself. In fact I find the whole thing self indulgant. But for following these guys, and in the interest of the competition I am prepared to lower my moral standards.
Hopefully I have applied in the correct way. Fingers crossed.

I hope it runs on your PC.

The beta has pretty poor performance and there doesn't seem to be any correlation between the poor performance and hardware.

Waiting for the final release :)

Been playing the beta since it came out, is great fun when you get some friends into a couple of squads and use Teamspeak to co-ordinate attack/defence :)

What the hell does DM mean? Made a Twitter account just for this, so I'm a bit of a noob! I hope there are more keys left :/

I really quite like the beta, I pre-ordered the game back on its "pre-order" first day and have been playing the beta very regularly. I am not even bored of the single map and mode that the beta is run on yet, it is so huge you can always find new places to hide and pick off loads of people if you wish.
I am sure the performance issues will be resolved on the final release date, the code itself for the beta is around 6 months old, but it still seems to run fine on my 3 year old PC.

Thanks i got one :D Didn't like it initially but i'm getting the hang of it now. One thing that does annoy me is having to hold crouch though :l Maybe a fix in the retail version?

They said they added toggle crouch in the final release.

The devs have said prone is a definite 'no' (more to do with problems with the destructable environment than anything else, as i understand it). The gameplay really doesn't need prone though, forces people to keep moving.

Yeah same here. I never thought I'd get a Twitter account, but I guess it was worth it since I got a key! Thanks bit-tech!

How the heck are you supposed to get this thing running anyways? The one I downloaded was in .rar format and when i unzip everything it want me to put a disc in when I try and run autosetup?? What am I doing wrong??
