50 Cent will be providing voiceover work for squads in the multiplayer portion of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
50 Cent is getting more and more into games it seems, following up
Blood on the Sand with some voiceover work for
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 in what Activision is calling a 'casual cameo'.
Pictures of 50 Cent visiting Infinity Ward appeared on his blog (which we only read because we visited via
Eurogamer) '
This is 50'. Infinity Ward spokesperson Robert Bowling later confirmed that 50 Cent will be featured in the game.
Specifically, 50 will be providing the voices of some squad members in the multiplayer portion of the game, which means you can get used to him saying things like "
reloading", "
air strike" and we might even be lucky enough to hear our favourite line from
50 Cent: Blood on the Sand - "
f***ing grenade!".
Bowling also confirmed that 50 Cent is by no means the only celebrity who has been signed to feature in the game and that more and more 'casual cameos' will be unveiled in the lead-up to release.
Infinity Ward was quick to point out that members of Good Charlotte are
not on the cameo list though, despite being shown in pictures on the This is 50 blog. Apparently 50 Cent is just really good friends with Benji and Joel from Good Charlotte.

Now if he said something like ' Yo G, pop a cap in dat mudderf**ker' or something like 'B*tch gatta get paid' then I would reconsider.
f***king grenade indeed
All that is needed.
fixed that for you :p
"F** grenade!!"
"Bust the cop!"
"Cap his @ss"
Hum... I now want to buy the game...
Agreed. This is an unnecessary expense, and personally doesn't add anything for me.
Yay for certain cameos, Yuck for 50.
Next they'll have soldier bitches offering sucky sucky.
Me love you looooong time
+1
Unnecessary really.
I wonder how whether these comments would be different if you weren't getting an increased price, somehow I doubt a cameo has anything to do with that btw.
Hardly a cameo as John DiMaggio is a pro voice actor! he's Marcus Fenix in Gears of War.
Oh, and Wikipedia says he's been in these games:
That so explains the extra $10 lol
"We need something to really GRAP our hip, younger players."
LIke what?
"How about a badass rap dude. LIke that guy who did that other game recently. What's his name, Two Bits?"
Fifty Cent?
"Yeah! Get him in the game NOW!"

Butcher Bay was the first non-Futurama instance where I heard his voice acting. And it was a cameo as he only had two or so phrases in the game. He played an unnamed guard that is overheard shouting at a prisoner.
You never know, he might be doing it for free? :S
I hate stuff like this, it's all just an obvious cash-in. Like Soul Calibur IV; ruined by stupid Star Wars characters with a lame ass story.
ot: at the current exchange rate, 50cent is equal to about 30pence.
;-)
cod = multiplayer

Yo thriddy!!! ;)
Maybe he should change his stage name to "Ten Bob"!
then you could hear my magic like when you run out of bullets i would shout S**t no ammo this bottle will have to do
No one takes it seriously? LOL, most console gamers and fanboys I know think and will argue not only is it the greatest game evar, but the most realistic, yes, realistic war sim, lol.
Tell me again how his voice "acting" improves my gaming experience?
Next they will raise the cost of teh game, then complain about pirates and/or poor sales.
Wave ARMA II in their faces for me will you? :)
then they have you blow up the game at the end.. he's in a humvee with 15's playing red bandana XD that would be sweet
But it's still an unnecessary expense. Especially after they've already raised the RRP.
