THQ's Red Faction: Guerrilla will finally see a PC release this September - in Europe first too!
THQ has formally announced the release date and minimum and recommended specs for the PC version of physics-driven destructathon
Red Faction: Guerrilla - revealing that those of us in Europe will get the game before the US.
International customers (including Europe) will get the game on September 11th according to THQ, while those of you in the US will have to wait an extra few days - it won't be in stores in America until September 15th.
The reason for the short delay in America is apparently that THQ is still finalising some distribution details with partners in the US.
The recommended specs for the PC version of the games, which has you running around on Mars and blowing up lots of buildings, include a 3.2GHz processor, 2GB RAM and a 256MB graphics card. If you can't quite reach that then you
can make do with the minimum requirements - a 2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM and a 128MB 3D card with Shader Model 3.0 support.
We
reviewed the console version of Red Faction: Guerrilla not long ago and thought it was quite a good game and very technically impressive, even if the gameplay wasn't as innovative as the engine it ran on. Here's hoping that the PC version will feature a few more bits of visual splendour to help tip the balance in it's favour!
What did you think to
Red Faction: Guerrilla? Let us know in
the forums.

Discuss in the forums Replylooking at those loose specs, i fear the developer doesn't know how the game is going to perform. 3.2Ghz processor? how many cores? 256MB graphics card, 7600GT or 8800GT?
It's a TPS mate :P
There's been a Steam page for the past 6 months for it
You will still get them on the PC version, GFWL isn't it?
Ah right, Americans are still all touchy about that.. meh
Yea I can't imagine why.... arrogant Europeans...
I've heard reviewers say the same thing, only to then go on to like it. I haven't tried the demo personally, but it sounds like they just made a crap one.
Get over it already..
Was a bit skeptical when I got the 360 version, but then it grew on me and blowing buildings up is always entertaining :D
My only gripe is you can't seem to reset buildings :(
Yeh still touchy (don't wont the rest of the world to realize that 9/11 was carried out by those in the United States, not some scape goat fictional terrorist) oh yeh Red Faction Guerrilla for the P.C. a game about revolution.... released on 9/11.....nice
