Meh, not too bad. Some really good tracks, and some distinctly average tracks on there tbh.

Purple Haze live is a real bonus though, that'll be epic. :D

This makes me cry, the one thing I was hoping they wouldn't keep in was the battle mode.

I'm wondering whether any of them will actually be 'fun' to play. I still can't master hard on Guitar Hero, despite being able to play many songs in Rock Band on expert.

M'eh, don't blame the game just because you suck :P

Not tried Rock Band but I couldn't do hard on GH either, moving my hand up and down (innuendo not intended) or using my thumb on the controller never really worked, though I could get 100% on medium :(

what about Beastie Boys being on there? How is a rap group on Guitar Hero?

Keep at it, you eventually get it, I found it really difficult to begin with.

Beastie Boys are no more rap than Rage Against the Machine or Limp Bizkit. Most of their songs are with a full band, especially their early ones.

I don't know about you, but sabotage on GH3 was just plain awesome to play, as was Rage.

Lot of good songs on this list, quite a few bad ones unfortunately. Trapped under ice for Metallica? Seriously? Tool is a very welcomed addition.

Hotel California = Win.

Quite alot of good songs on there, happy to see rise against too

The Allman Bros track should have been Jessica, though :D Although, perhaps 7:30 for a track might be a bit too long...

Already been on GH2.

As for "Trapped under ice" from Metallica - it's an awesome song, probably one of the best from Ride.
Flibblebot 15th September 2008, 17:08 Quote
It was, you're right. Don't know how I could have forgotten that
pendragon 15th September 2008, 18:19 Quote
decent selection.. happy to see Lacuna Coil get a song on there... too bad there's no Nightwish or Blind Guardian.. ah well
Brett89 15th September 2008, 18:47 Quote
A nice helping of Eddie Van Halen, that'll be nice to see people play on expert, although half the songs i like on that list i won't listen to anymore because "I can play this song.... on guitar hero" or from my sisters friends"I KNOW THIS SONG! Really? YEAH, ITS ON GUITAR HERO"
Vash-HT 15th September 2008, 21:52 Quote
Happy to see a few bands I didn't expect, namely Rise Against and BFMV.

Joe Satriani is in there? Damn, that should be fun. Too bad I haven't played GH in months, it loses a lot of its charm when you no longer have a house full of drunken college kids to play with.

THE MARS VOLTA??!?!??!!?

Is that even classified as music?

Does anyone else think that Slipknot would be excellent for Rock Band?
PhenomRed 16th September 2008, 06:11 Quote
Joe Satriani is like a bald Jesus to me
Bauul 16th September 2008, 10:09 Quote
I see both Guitar Hero and Rock Band have jumped on the Dream Theater bandwagon.

Not that I object, Dream Theater melt my face.
badders 16th September 2008, 10:58 Quote
I only know about 5 songs on that list... :(

The other half will be happy though, she likes 30 Seconds to Mars.
I May have to pick this up for the Wii for her.
