Bionic Commando Rearmed has been pulled from Valve's Steam service for reasons shrouded in mystery.
Capcom has announced that it will be unable to release the PC version of
Bionic Commando Rearmed on Valve's Steam service as was originally planned. The reason? Apparently Capcom and Valve have been unable to agree on a few critical issues.
"
At the last minute, we've been unable to reach mutually agreeable terms with Valve on BCR, so they won't be carrying it," VP of strategic planning Christian Svensson wrote on the
Capcom forums yesterday.
"
I won't get into the details but we do continue to have a good relationship with Valve and future Capcom titles we expect to be carried on Steam."
Svensson was keen to deny that the pulling of the title was because Capcom were unhappy with the percentage taken by Valve on all online transactions.
Bionic Commando fans need not worry too much though as the game will still be available for PC over the Direct2Drive service and through
Capcom's online store.
Bionic Commando Rearmed is a remake and reimagining of the original NES platformer, but remade in a new engine. The remake has new multiplayer levels and has launched on Xbox Live and PSN already. If you've tried it then tell us what you think in
the forums.
They should have an original mode option or at least have remakes of the original levels.
It looks like a flash game.
We've reached the final level but we can't get through it. We played until 4 am last night and jumped right into deathmatch when we got up this morning.
The dialog in the demo as well as the full game is hilarious.
I've bought it for PS3, and have 3 controllers. Now i've gotta get one more for some 4 player action!
