Peter Jackson's Halo team is hiring

Microsoft has confirmed it is now hiring developers for a Halo game led by Peter Jackson.

Microsoft has officially confirmed that it is now recruiting staff to work on a game set in the Halo universe with Peter Jackson.

Peter Jackson, who directed such classic films as Brain Dead and Bad Taste before moving on to low-budget horror flicks like The Lord of the Rings trilogy, has long been a fan of Halo and was previously confirmed to be involved in creating two new games for Microsoft set in the series. True, that confirmation came a long, long time ago and in a galaxy far, far away, but Microsoft has apparently on just started work on the project.

The confirmation from Microsoft comes after a recruitment advert was posted by Microsoft asking for developers to come forward to work with "external luminary" on a project which would "help develop a new experience in the Halo universe."

Naturally, where Microsoft intimated, MTV probed and a confirmation was later given that this was indeed a joint project with Peter 'I Kick Ass For The Lord' Jackson.

"Microsoft Game Studios has been hard at work collaborating with Peter Jackson and Bungie on the development of [a Peter Jackson-helmed Halo project]," said Microsoft.

"At this time, it's necessary to grow the internal team to keep pace with development. Bungie will continue to remain involved in multiple aspects of the Halo Universe with Microsoft Game Studios."

Are you looking forward to getting another taste of Master Chief, or does the ambiguity of that question leave you with a Bad Taste? Let us know in the forums.

Back to the main subject, YESSSSSSS!!!! Halo might actually happen and its in the hands of a competent director and an effects team who really know their stuff, I might actually orgasm on the spot...... whoops, too late.

I might be a little premature here but f**k it:-

Hey Boll, are you watching this? This is how you do a game based film, give up man your film portfolio is a steaming pile of excrement and I'd call you a hack but it would insult hacks worldwide.

Okay, thats my daily anti-Boll rant over, move on.
