Crysis 1.2 patch released

The new Crysis 1.2 patch adds mod support, stability and new gameplay tweaks.

If you're still suffering from performance issues and gameplay gripes with Crytek's super good looking FPS, Crysis, then we have some good news for you - a new patch is available.

The new patch will take your game up to the next level, 1.2 and can be used to update all versions of the game. The patch clocks in at 361.06 MB and is available to download right now.

The patch brings a load of new features, tweaks, fixes and performance updates to the game - check out the highlights below:
  • Optimised Object Motion Blur for DX10 Very High Spec
  • Destroying objects will now properly remove their decals from the world under DX10.
  • Added auto team balance. Players will now be moved from full teams to the opposing side when dead if the numbers are unbalanced.
  • Added multisample shading for shadows.
  • Logitech G15 display now fully supported in MP and SP
  • Added mod loader to the main menu. User created content can now be loaded and unloaded through this menu.
  • Added some additional audio hitfeedback functionality to multiplayer and singleplayer bullet impacts. Headshots will include an audible ding in multiplayer games.
  • In single player, AI can now be knocked over while running into them in speed mode.

another reason to ditch my Meda keyboard and buy a G15....... god i so want one.

(on a side note the G15 refresh blows, and changes the layout sufficiently to warrant a re-review)

I ran everything on very high through the entire game. I have a 8800 GTS 512... I never felt the need to turn it down.

I really enjoyed it too, it has an old scifi feel to it and the action is very intense. I look forward to the next instalment.

This is on core2duo e8200@ 3.4ghz, 2gb ocz platinum @ 850, 4-4-4-12, HD 3850 512mb 790, 2100.

But when I put on AA the fps plummets, but it still remains quite smooth.

That's because of your ATI video card, ATI cards suck with AA on, on nviida cards, there is very little performance hit with AA turned on.

There is a performance hit on any card when AA is enabled.
