Penny Arcade game released this spring

The Penny Arcade game will be released on Xbox 360 and PC this spring.

According to an announcement at the Game Developers Conference this year the official Penny Arcade game, On The Rain-Slick Precipice Of Darkness, will be released this spring.

The game has been on show over the course of the conference and has attracted many fans who want to have a look at the Lovecraft-inspired title which has been developed with the aid of web-personalities Tycho and Gabe, as well as The Secret of Monkey Island creator Ron Gilbert.

On The Rain-Slick Precipice Of Darkness has divided fans of the Penny Arcade comic and, while some have seen the game as the logical extension of the Penny Arcade brand, others see it as classic sell-out strategy.

Either way, we'll get a chance to see for ourselves this summer when the game is released.

The game is currently being billed as a team-based action adventure hybrid presented in a cel-shaded style consistent with the cartoon.

On The Rain-Slick Precipice Of Darkness is currently confirmed for the Xbox 360 and PC and will be released episodically.

How do you think the game is shaping up? Will you be buying? Let us know what you think in the forums.

Oh, well, if you say so...

I'm not too sure about this. I know the Ron Gilbert connection will be giving Joe serious trouser tentage, but I can't help but think that Penny Arcade isn't too...I don't know...random?

I wonder if it'll be good enough to advertise on penny arcade.

If you look at all the videos the UI has changed for the greater good over time, as for the gameplay i'd say it looks pretty neat.
I think ill get it since the comic nearly always amuses me and im starting to like their crazy rants on the podcast too.

Dunno if I will try it. I still kinda like Penny Arcade for their comics, but at the same time they seem really just play to the popular opinion on subjects.

heh listen to the podcast or check the recent spore comic, they quite often disagree with 'the masses' or indeed each other!
