Great Game Giveaway

Gish is one of the free games available to gamers who sign up to the Great Games Experiment this week.

They say the best things in life are free, but that's usually only true for those who choose a Rogue class. Sometimes the wealth gets shared around though, as proved by The Great Games Experiment.

Starting this week, The Great Games Experiment will be offering a free game GarageGames to anybody who signs up for an account.

The Great Games Experiment is a community driven site where gamers can join together to share lists of their favourite games and try and force more people to try them. Members can also network with game developers and play a whole load of games hosted on the site. It also lets members use the page as a hub, adding Google widgets and and customised information to their account page.

GarageGames have teamed up with the GGE to offer a free game from its collection to any new members, which is a perfect excuse to join if you haven't already. GarageGames currently hosts a selection of about fifty games, including gems like Gish and the stylish Virgil, which uses a Frank Miller-esque graphic style to tell its story.

Sounds good to us, even though all we do all day is get free games and talk about them.

What do you think about the surge in online communities lately? Is this just Facebook for gamers? Is Facebook just MySpace for n00bs? Let us know your opinions, let us know them all!

Go here for free games. The games are free and they look great. Try Gunz. Also their new Fighter game is sweet, too. Try it out cause it won't cost you anything. I was lucky enough to have a friend show this to me.

I play TC:Elite more than any other game. Odd that something I spend £30 on is boring withing two weeks, but I've been playing a free game almost every day for almost a year.
I really shoiuld get round to donating to the developers...

Not mentiond is that GarageGames is the home of the Torque game/shader engines, which is very nicely priced for thoses of us who like to tinker, though free would be nicer
