The XBox 360: Horsepower, Hi-Def, and...Frogger?

Yes, that's right, Frogger. In a move similar to Nintendo's back catalogue on the Wii, the XBox 360 is going in a time-warp back to the '80s, with the release of five arcade classics.

Microsoft will release one game each Wednesday, starting today with Frogger. The classics will all be part of XBox Live Arcade, much like Wil's beloved favorite Geometry Wars.

The scheduled release dates are:
  • July 12 - Frogger
  • July 19 - Cloning Clyde
  • July 26 - Galaga
  • August 2 - Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting
  • August 9 - Pac-Man
Though you'll probably notice a lack of some of your favorite arcade titles (Where's Dig-Dug?!), there are certainly some big names to celebrate. We can only hope that MS decides to release more stuff like this!
