The first demo has been released of the new Tomb Raider game, subtitled Legend.

Weighing in at a reasonable (?) 476MB, it features the entire first level of the game.

Legend claims to go back to the roots of the franchise, with better weapons, gameplay and story.

It's out today in the States and Friday in the UK on the PC, Xbox, PS2 and Xbox 360. PSP and Gamecube versions are coming out later in the year.

Keeley Hawkes, who plays Zoe in the Spooks TV series on the BBC, is the posh new voice of Lara. Her nemesis in-game is Amanda Evert, a rogue anthropologist. Those anthropologists, eh?

We'll be taking a look at the game come release day. In the mean time, go grab the demo then let us know what you think in the forums.
