Simply guess the number of items in the pile below to be in with a chance of winning
Edit: This competition is now closed. Congratulations to the winners Azrael-, Lankymorley, Aterius Gmork, Echo Three and Lord Badger who all correctly guessed that there was 73 items in the pile (48 pens & 25 lanyards). Thank you to everyone who entered and to Patriot for supplying the prizes too!
We’ve teamed up with the fine people at Patriot Memory to organize a competition to win one of five 32GB Supersonic USB 3 flash drives.
Capable of read speeds of up to 100MB/s and write speeds of up to 70MB/s thanks to their quad-channel technology, these USB drives can transfer large files up to ten times faster than their USB 2 counterparts.
The Supersonic drives are housed in a stylish aluminium shell, and are shock resistant up to 15G meaning that if you ever break one, we’ll officially be impressed.
To be in with a chance of winning one of the five drives, all you have to do is have a guess at how many Patriot lanyards and Patriot pens are piled up in the picture below. Simply post your guess in the comments thread attached to this post.
The nearest five guesses get the prizes, and in the case of a draw, the person who posts first get’s the prize. The competition is open worldwide, and will be closing after 48 hours, though we may keep it open for an extra day if there is still lots of entries coming in.
You’re only allowed
one guess each and it’s your first guess that counts, so think carefully. For clarity, and to make sure we don’t miss anyone's guesses out - can you please
submit your guess in bold text using the following wording so that it's nice and clear.
I guess that there are [insert guess here] items in the pile.
With that said, it's time to start scrutinizing the blow picture and post up your guess. Good luck!

Sorry Baz your comment popped up after i posted.
Any clues on the closing date/time Harry?
Greets forum pals, been a while, good luck to all etc.
;)
Leave em to it, entries won't count then :D
I guess that there are 64 items in the pile.
But that tag "at least 150" is throwing me off :?
They are obviously glued together to make that kind of compact pile so that makes it one item. LOL
Also, i forgot to mention, but it's open worldwide too.
Oh shush, that's just a slight hiccup of the way the CMS works; that's when the article was written.
Good luck all :)
Sorry please delete my fail post before this one.

Good luck all :)
LOL at all the people who can't follow simple instructions for how to submit their entry correctly.
and I guess that there are 58 items in the pile :)
Make a graph of the numbers please? It would be interesting to compare with the actual number.
There's clearly a black hole in the middle.
It's already the best, just needs more regulars :)
I guess that there are 58 items in the pile.
Yeah right? :p Probably no more than 50?
Anyway good luck to everyone!
But the competition is open to all :)
We'll be in touch with the winners :D
Totally perfect timing too since I just wanted to go out and buy some new pens. :)
I have to say the speed of the flash drive blew me away. It says 70mb/s write speed on the cover - and Patriot didn't lie! When copying some small files on the flash drive I got around 50mb/s, a movie file was transferred even faster at around 75mb/s! Good work Patriot!
Thank you Patriot, and thank you bit-tech! You guys rock!
Well done winners, enjoy your lightening speed pen drives :D
