Bit-tech needs you!

Bit-tech needs you!

Tell us who impressed you and be in with a chance of winning a stack of kit!

We need your feedback on your favourite hardware manufacturers and game developers this year, and we also need to know which companies have offered you the best customer service. It’s the one area we can’t test – how do the companies we write about everyday treat you, our readership?

Every year bit-tech and Custom PC invites its readers to vote on which companies are the best – from motherboard makers to games developers to online shops – and which have offered the best service. Our awards are primarily reader-voted, with only a few categories that we vote for ourselves, so we implore you to have your say.

In fact, we go one further than that, and positively reward you with the chance to win one of three hardware bundles to transform your PC into a performance powerhouse, a gaming gargantuan or some other form of alliterative awesomeness.

You may have already entered this competition, in which case thanks and good luck. Also, apologies to our international readers, but this is a UK-only comp. The prizes are as follows:

First prize is a Corsair bundle worth £730. It includes a lightning-fast Force GT 240GB SSD, a hefty HX1050 power supply and 8GB of Vengeance DDR3 memory. That’s a huge upgrade for any PC.

Second prize is a bundle worth £400, kindly offered by Quiet PC. There’s a Zalman GS1200 case, a 700W Nesteq power supply and a 2TB Samsung hard disk to be won.

Third prize is a bundle of hardcore gaming kit from SteelSeries that's worth £250. With the Xai Laser mouse, 5Hv2 headset and 6Gv2 gaming keyboard you’ll be pwning n00bs with the pros.

The backplates on the hotswap bays in my Corsair 800D were faulty and Corsair immediately replaced the backplates with a single SATA 3.0 Backplate without any questions being asked. They gave me the best customer support I have ever experienced.

Aye, I've always found Corsair's RMA service to be flawless - always been quick to replace faulty products, and without being difficult about it.

That's what I'm thinking...
Is this another heat or just a reminder about one comp?

some of these questions are useless, how are voters expected to have experience with all those companies in order to have a knowledge based answer. Unless of course you just want them to vote for whatever they bought.

That is the only way to do these surveys, you seem surprised though. Did you really expect it to be done differently?

no. it's not. How about "rate companies: score 1-5 or tick never tried" then accumulate results in a meaningful manner

in it's present form, a lot of the survey is just testing who has most effective marketing.
M7ck 12th September 2011, 14:52 Quote
You don't have to have purchased a product to have an opinion on it. The survey is asking for opinions.

eg. Who is your motherboard manufacturer of the year?

It then lists all/most mobo manufacturers as well as an 'other' option just in case one was missed. If you have not purchased a mobo or don't want to answer then there is nothing stopping you from not selecting any option and moving on the next question. You dont have to select an answer.

Will this ever be for US too?

*fingers crossed for hardware*

Still, I'm pretty sure Scan will get this RMA award and Retailer. Never seen better service.

From the article:

"You may have already entered this competition, in which case thanks and good luck.."

I fail to see how people are confused about this reminder to enter the survey. Unless, of course, they're not actually reading what we write and are just skipping to the comments thread...

Please, we try to be as explicit and comprehensive as possible with everything we write - read the article before posting questions or complaints.

Make it bold then! As it stands you have to read 2 paragraphs just to clear up the confusion, and it is easy to miss when skim reading.

Yeah Bit-Tech get it sorted, I want to know everything without having to actually read the whole article
