Meh. Entered. I reserve the right to spam their opt-out system if they get annoying.
h_h_boys76 28th March 2011, 16:16 Quote
It may be open for globally since we got to choose the countries. Otherwise it would have just restricted to UK and stated on the competition page like other previous competition. Just my guess. :-)

The competition to open to all UK bit-tech readers

???

PS: Does that sentence make sense ? To open to all ?

No US = Fail!
Volund 28th March 2011, 16:41 Quote
The competition is only open to people from the UK..... as always

ugh another UK only.... ~_~ I wonder if the UK is the largest reader base for Bit-Tech or if other countries have more readers... oh well...

£500+ worth of prizes and they can't afford worldwide shipping?

Cool.

I do that every time I look at car prices ..

But as Jipa said - multinational company, the items are probably shipping from Taiwan anyways, so why no international option?
Locknload 28th March 2011, 19:53 Quote
Whats the answer then, since i cannot be bothered to find out by reading? hahaha

Or the items are shipping from BT's offices in the UK?
Roboduck 28th March 2011, 20:41 Quote
If shipping costs are the only holdup, maybe they could have free shipping within the UK but winners outside the UK pay for shipping?

Here here, I say, you have TR and some other great websites that offer decent competitions.
It's also possibly a business venture to push NZXT in the UK?
McSteel 28th March 2011, 20:45 Quote
I think this will be more of a cheap marketing research ;)

Im tired of being forced to use Facebook for contests and other stuff, I am officially boycotting Facebook and its anti-privacy policy and anyone business that uses it for contests. If you all dont like someone watching over your shoulder at everything you do, then stop using facebook.
I like NZXT but their use of facebook only contests is bullsh*t
rowin4kicks 28th March 2011, 21:26 Quote
done!

edit. should win cos its my 1000th post!

It should be an option to opt out BEFORE you press submit. Just like every other site I've been on.

entry is here: http://competitions.bit-tech.net/win-the-newest-release-h2-chassis-from-nzxt-

Pity its UK only.. Tom's is the same only to the US..

We in Aus get left out all the time... give some to your friends from down under next time?

Since the United States citizens are excluded, along with any other citizen of Earth, except the United Kingdom, then the least NZXT could do is to only sell their products to U.K. citizens.
If the rest of this planet isn't good enough to enter their contest then we certainly aren't up to snuff when it comes to purchasing their wares.
I just LOVE the way these types of igmo's, including U.S and other countries sites, enjoy shooting themselves in their own wallets! If a company wants to be part of the Global Economy then there should be no prejudism in excluding any single person on Earth from their promotions.
Dae314 29th March 2011, 03:00 Quote
uugh didn't see the only UK residents thing until after I entered =/ oh well. And for all you people complaining about the region limitation I live in Hawaii. Even if the competition said it was open to the US there's a good chance that it would only be open to those in the continental US. Region specificity also gives those who can enter a better chance to win. If it were completely open to the world and they gave away *one* first place and *one* second place prize the chances of each entrant winning would plummet to near 0. As it is even with just the UK the chances of winning are near 0 for each entrant. You wouldn't want it to be any worse if you were one of those who could enter. Also remember this is a UK forum so it's obvious that stuff would be more UK centric.

Same here.
I was so happy it wasn't a Facebook/Twitter only competition, I didn't see that.

On th page of the competition it doesn't say it's UK only, but that's because the best thing is hidden here though: Terms and conditions
"Competitions open to UK residents only, unless otherwise stated." ;)

You shouldn't have to, unless the address you entered was outside the UK, but TBH I don't know for sure.

Nice! so if i win and live in Denmark, i have to pay for shipping or what?
McSteel 29th March 2011, 18:59 Quote
Who cares? It will be a fraction of the original price, and NZXT makes some really good stuff! :)
If the shipping price, if any, proves to be too much for you, you can always forfeit/decline the reward and it will be offered to someone else.

How is it considered a "competition" when all you have to do is look up the date a company was founded, then give them permission to spam you all they want?

I guess technically it -could- be called a "drawing".
