Can you identify any of the cars below? Drop your thoughts in the forums and get noted on the next podcast!
GamesCom 2009: We’re out in Cologne at GamesCom at the moment and in response to the ever-popular ‘
Guess The Car’ thread in the
bit-tech forums we couldn’t help but stop to take a few pictures of the cars that were spread out across the show floor.
The bad news though is that we’ve only sent games writer
Joe Martin out to the event who, lacking a driving license or even a passing interest in anything with wheels, wasn’t able to offer even a guess as to what any of the vehicles on the show floor. In other words; it’s up to you to try and identify the cars/bikes/vans/tractors below.
The automobiles themselves range extraordinarily too, from stands full of motorbikes to tractors that had been incorporated into huge setpieces for some of the gaming booths. There were plenty of huge trucks and vans too, though in the baking German heat we just didn’t dare take a peak inside.
So, take a look at the pictures below and let us know your guesses in the comments thread. If it looks like anyone has got all or most of them right then we’ll give you a big shout out (and maybe a prize if you get them all) in the next
bit-tech and Custom PC Gaming Podcast. Keep an eye out for that at some point next week.
Until then, start guessing and remember that any time spent disrespecting our camerawork is time wasted!

the GT4 has no rear wing
other unidentified cars
Dodge Ram - With a Paint Job, not a SRT@10 no powerdome on hood
VW Polo -I'm from the US and recognize the car
EDIT: and if we continue, the GT2 has a splitter, a much lower front bumper, wider mudgards, wents right behind the front wheels, NACA ducts in front of the rear wheels (prolly for rear brake cooling), a badass rear spoiler and huge vents on the bonnet. THe GT4 has neither of those, just a slightly more agressive kit than the street version.
The latest GT2 version, which is quite a bit different to the unveiling one: http://ll.speedhunters.com/u/f/eagames/NFS/speedhunters.com/Images/Rod09/Gallery/BMW-ALMS/BMW_press_Sebring_Test2.JPG
