Congratulations to the top three winners who get some awesome Corsair kit!
The DHX+ memory mod competition, in conjunction with Corsair Memory, has finally come to a close with some excellent entries to redesign additional tops to the triple channel Core i7 memory kits.
And the three winners chosen by Corsair are:
1st place goes to – Bradley Joslin for the Dominatrix. Corsair loved the modularity and level of detail in his design, and greatly respect the amount of effort that he put in!
2nd place goes to – Kyle Lunau for the xCM. Corsair thought his idea of being able to attach LGA775 cooling devices to the xCM was innovative
3rd place goes to – Martin Bacon for HMS Dominator. Basically, it just made everyone at Corsair laugh, and the guys there really liked the nautical theme.
Congratulations to all these winners who win:
1st place – Corsair Dominator TR3X6G1600C8D, 6GB triple-channel DDR3 memory
2nd place – Corsair HX1000W power supply
3rd place – 32GB Corsair Flash Voyager USB drive
If you didn't win - you're in luck because there's more!
Because there were many good entries, Corsair decided to draw and an additional 4th place from another five of the best. This person will also win a huge 32GB Voyager and to honour the community for creating them though - Corsair has left it up to
you to vote on who gets the super sized memory key. We'll be launching the 4th place competition next week in the forums, so drop in to vote on who gets the extra bit of kit from the pool of potentials!

So far the DHX+ heatsinks are 8mm wide, hole centre point is 4mm from the edge. The end holes are 8mm in, and the centre one is 62.5mm from the end. The screw thread width is 2mm.
Center hole being 62.5mm from the edge. The whole unit would be 125mm long.
Thanks for those dimensions Bindi.
I will definitely send in an entry!
also, thanks for the worldwide competition guys, especially with such a focus on innovation rather than something more simple. this is precisely what bit was founded for (innovation in the modding community).
:D
shouldn't that be not instead of no?
[ontopic] hmmm... this is going to be a lot of fun to design.
Yay Corsair for doing this worldwide!
Plus i like the setup of this compo, this way you actually get some degree of control wether you win or not :p
Wondering about that too... What if i want to design a cooler that bolts onto multiple sticks in a motherboard at the same time. And a single stick cooler.
I mean, i don't mind, but i'm really missing this kind of statement from the terms and conditions...
Also, will all designs be published afterwards? i'm really curious :) Published by you or Corsair?
Hi, I actually met up with Corsiar yesterday. They assured me that are no plans to actually put any designs into production or even make use of them. It's more a fun design competition as they are keen to what of kind of ideas their customers (i.e. you guys) come up.
My understanding is only the winning entry will be published but I'll see what I can do.
Have you received my entry (it's from tanka1234567@gmail.com)?
I had a time zone mix-up, I thought it closed at 11.59PM BST, not 11.59AM BST.
Is my entry still valid and in time? I spent alot of time on it, so it'd be a shame to see it all go to waste.
Thanks,
Tanka12345
good luck everyone!!!
Yeah I hear ya on that, same here. I also worry cause I sent two emails after I read the contest description about sending contact information, hope that I didn't mess that up.
Yea it's in :)
thanks =)

I'm going to stress myself into a heart attack
yep
Me too. I want to see who wins, even if it isn't me. The suspense is and will probably kill me!:(
Erh it's the weekend and the competition only ended on Friday! Winners won't be announced for couple of weeks. ;)
oh well back to more important things I guess
well i can wait, lol. iv probably checked it about 70 times today =S
thats how nervous i am! LOL
im also used to comps taking a few hours or a day at the most. haha.
It's the weekend and the BiT staff, despite popular belief don't live in the office.
Also please bear in mind:
> The holiday season is approaching.
> All the entries have to be sorted.
> Competition is being judged in conjunction with Corsair.
hopefully it will be over soon =)
Thanks,
Tanka12345
we'll know once they get their heads out of the paper and tell someone.
I figured.
hope he's having fun!
cheers.
Merry Christmas Everyone!
Well you've got to push them harder until they fall off their Corsair ship. ;)
We are trying to organise some additional prizes to be given away atm.
Actually, we're stringing it out just to annoy him. :)
Hahaha!!! nice one!
exciting! Can't wait :D
Seriously, it would have been up yesterday but we simply just keep running out of day :(
Well done.
Your design is fantastic.
Congrats!
This public vote for 5th place could be embarrassing. I was busy as hell that week and slopped a design together in photoshop at the last minute.
Never noticed such competition, but then again I still recon memory coolers are totally overkill and my best idea would have been to remove the current one...
Grats to the winners and lol to the second and third :D
Thanks, fixed. :)

That boat :')
Hopefully Bindi will post them soon. :D
Sorry Tanka mate - it really looked like you've put in a lot of effort but neither Corsair or us could really understand what was going on with your entry :(
