bit-tech Mod of the Year Winner No.1

bit-tech Mod of the Year Winner No.1

Choose from one of these and win some great stuff! Many thanks to OCZ and MSI for today's prizes!

It's only been two days since we launched our Mod of the Year contest and already we've had a whole load of you voting. To reward our humble readers who took the time to vote we've got prizes to give away!

For today's prize we've teamed up with the awesome people at MSI and OCZ Technology to bundle two premium bits of kit: firstly an MSI X38 Diamond which is coupled with some OCZ DDR3 PC3-10666 C7 Platinum Edition memory and an OCZ XTC cooler to keep it all nice and cool.

And congratulations to today's Winner who is: Gerard Gimbert

Don't fret the rest of you, there's still more to come before the competition closes on the 14th of January and all current voters still have a chance to win future prizes between now and then, so the earlier you get your vote in - the better chance you have of winning something!

Join us in the forums to have a chat about the competition and today's prize.

I wonder about something...

Now that the first winner is drawn, are all the ones who voted before excluded from the next draw?
Bindibadgi 26th December 2007, 12:50 Quote
Nope. Like I said in the post - the earlier you vote, the more chance you have of winning. :)

Voter #1 can still win up to the 14th of Jan.

we are only allowed to vote once right? sorry if it's a stupid question..

What happens if I only put in my last initial instead of the full surname when I submit the ballot?
Bindibadgi 26th December 2007, 13:06 Quote
One vote per person, as per the original rules. As long as you supplied a valid email address it doesn't matter, Amon

What if we made a mistake and did not know? :'(

Awesome! I cant beleive I actually won something as cool as this!

All I have to do now is find the money to buy a processor and graphics card! Nevertheless, this has cut a significant chunk of cash out of my long-long-overdue system overhaul!

Thanks everyone at Bit-Tech, MSI and OCZ for this prize!

Congrats on finding a way to get more than 120 votes!:D
Voting on MOY and MOM should be mandatory. All who do not vote get electrocuted via modem. BZZZT!

OCZ DDR3 PC3-10666 C7 Platinum Edition memory

Is it me not keeping up with RAM speed development or is there a 0 too much there?

Not according to this: http://www.ocztechnology.com/products/memory/ocz_ddr3_pc3_10666_platinum_edition

Are you confusing 1066MHz / PC-8500 with 1333MHz / PC-10666?
Woodstock 26th December 2007, 22:04 Quote
oooo i assumed it would be one prize at a time, congrats
Bindibadgi 26th December 2007, 22:30 Quote
It varies, and we realised that you can't give away a DDR3 motherboard without DDR3 though ;)

Yup. :) Why can't they just stick to naming by MHZ and skip that crappy PR naming scheme?
