EA Announces Star Wars Battlefront

EA Announces Star Wars Battlefront

The video game you're looking for

Shocking everyone at their E3 press conference, EA released a trailer announcing Star Wars Battlefront.

The trailer depicts a lone figure in first person walking through what is presumably the ice planet of Hoth. Along this trudge through snow they’re halted by blaster fire, a crashing ship and the foot of an AT-AT walker - dramatic stuff.

It’s been known for some time that EA had secured a licensing deal to exclusively handle all Star Wars games, which was worked out soon after Disney gained control of the Star Wars Licence through its purchase of LucasArts.

Star Wars Battlefront will run on the same Frostbite 3 engine as Battlefield 4 and is being developed by DICE.

There is no word on a release date yet.

It was so many hundreds of years ago since the first Battlefront I can't remember it much... It was an FPS wasn't it?

BF 1 and 2 were both great games. Makes me want to install them again on my current rig. I knew I cleaned up disk space for something earlier today.
