We're pleased to announce that voting for this year's all-new Custom PC & bit-tech Awards is now open!
I'm pleased to annonuce that voting for this year's all-new Custom PC and
bit-tech awards is now open and we'd love to hear what you think of the various companies we cover on a daily basis.
Before
bit-tech moved its offices into London to team up with the Custom PC crew, we used to run the
bit-tech awards quite differently, where we'd declare our favourite products of the year. This year, we're changing things a little and taking the awards to a new level.
While the
bit-tech and Custom PC reviews team puts the latest hardware and games through their paces each month, giving you recommendations on what to buy in our monthly buyer's guides, we don't often get to use those products as a paying customer.
With that in mind, we would like to hear your opinions on the PCs, laptops, components and games that you've bought over the past year. Your votes will decide 11 of the 14 awards because we believe that the awards should go to the manufacturers who have not only created the best products, but also delivered exceptional after sales service as well.
The remaining three awards will be decided by the
bit-tech and Custom PC editorial team - the Dream PC 2009, Technical Innovation and the Elite Hardware awards. The awards will be announced online on 19th November, which is the same day that issue 76 of Custom PC goes on sale.
As a thank you for taking part in the survey, you'll have a chance of winning a full AMD Dragon kit worth £600, plus £500 in runners-up prizes courtesy of
AMD and
Asus. Please click on to take part in the
Custom PC & bit-tech Awards 2009. Prizes are global and the voting closes on 14th October 2009.

*fingers crossed*
Prizes are global? I can't seem to find the usual set of disclaimers anywhere, and as this is a competition run by yourself, this is the perfect opportunity to back up the statements that you strive to include as many people as possible in the compos, right?
[ninja edit]
wait, are you sure it's a good idea to have us vote on these things in august, with the perfect storm still to come?
I must say, i can't answer the very first question, as my decision on mobo manufacturer of the year is 100% dependant on who gets Lynnfield right. I don't mean to spoil the fun or anything, but this seems a bit premature, so for now, i haven't enetered.
Yes, course!
for the cooling question I had to answer other because well in that answer I put for Air cooling Noctua for water cooling EK. next time you do this survey maybe you should ask both air and water next time :)
Also, agree with Xtrafresh on perfect storm.
this is low. where is the tick box (or at least the link) for not sharing my private details? it is ok if you want to use them in statistics (how many people reading bit-tech have a first name with 6 letters and stuff)
But i do not. i repeat DO NOT want to recieve any more spam, and certainly not on my phone, be it calling or sms.
i am sorry i cannot subscribe because of this, because it is absolutely fantastic to have a worldwide competition for once.
Also
Sorry once again :(
And it was sent over http, not https...
What I find strange is the fact we are redirected to sapphire's website after the survey...(after clicking no to send it to friends)
On a serious note - I've completed the survey 'cause I'd feel hypocritical bitching about the results if I didn't, but Alex/Tim - I'm sure you'll be good enough not to enter me in the prize draw :)
