New Michael Jackson game in the works

Though details are scarce, MJJ Productions have confirmed a new Michael Jackson game is in the works.

Rumours that Michael Jackson was planning a new video game starring himself before his death have apparently been confirmed by the King of Pop's own production company, MJJ Productions.

The game has apparently been in development for several months already, though it's unclear how much development might be hampered (or sales boosted) by the death of Michael Jackson recently. Jackson suffered cardiac arrest at him home in LA on June 25th, with investigation still on-going into what exactly may have caused the arrest.

Jackson himself was a huge fan of video games and had a large arcade collection in his home and had apparently leant his voice and music to the game before his death.

Details on what form the game will actually take are scarce, but a representative for MJJ Productions said that the game was for home console platforms and had been in development for several months already, though no indication was given of what state it is in.

"I am sure it will still be released," the MJJ Production spokesperson said in a comment tp MCV UK. "Michael loved games."

The game is currently scheduled for release this Christmas, but little else is really known about the the follow-up to the Moonwalker games

What do you think of the reaction to Michael Jackson's death and the reported $1.4 million USD funeral the star received in LA, which is currently the topic of some controversy? Let us know your thoughts in the forums.

I was thinking more of an FPS - at least there will be health packs and pills all over the house... (problem is, you need to take 5x the amount in normal games for the same effect).

You're all terrible people. This is going to be (music?) game of the year, I just know it!

Somehow I would't be suprised if it turned out to sell pretty well.

LOL! Wtf are you actually supposed to do? Walk around, pick up kids from the street, let them share your bed, and them take them to a gig, where you have to sort out some problems, then sing, and hit arrow keys to do dance moves?!

I hope that this will be another beatemup, Moonwalker was fun. :)

now the real challenge for the company is keeping all the MJ hype up until the game is released. Not an easy task.

I'm betting on it being some sort of platformer/DDR cross. possibly with some singstar thrown in.
Quote steveo_mcg 13th July 2009, 12:08
Nah MJ Father will keep the hype going for them, wonder if he's been left the royalties to this game.....

Or they just haste it and send it out boefore the hype dies, would be no suprise with this sort of game.

they could make a good puzzle game, now this piece goes here, and this I think is his nose.

I think a remake of Pacman will suffice for this game. MJ running around a Neverland styled maze eating pills and avoiding the social workers (ghosts) before finding the special 'Jury Vote' pills and defeating the social workers.

There could also be a Mrs MJ version but that wouldn't last very long.

Jesus Juice picups to replenish health. Anti depressants to keep his demons away. Surgical mask to survive biological attacks. Bubbles the Chimp to be called upon as backup. Joe Jackson the final level boss.

Man, this game would be sweet.

wow its amazing to see how many asses are on these forum and how disrespectful people have become, that a sides

I think a DDR mixed with a Mic would be pretty neat problem is how do you achieve the moon walk on a DDR style pad, may have to come up with something new now that would be neat and fun.

I shudder to think how a Wii remote might be used in a Jacko game.
Quote freedom810 13th July 2009, 16:25
Has anybody got any serious ideas as to what the game would involve because seriously I can't think :| They can't exactly have it as a FPS can they?

Trauma Centre, anyone?

But can he still turn into a giant robot?
Quote Nexxo 13th July 2009, 17:04
No, but he transforms into a skinny white dude. :p

Perhaps they could include a boss-level: escaping beatings by MJ's dad.

Pharma Tycoon MJ edition?
Quote Gazbarber 13th July 2009, 19:24
Maybe SingStar MJ? or RockBand like the Beatles, albeit harder to do seeing as there wasn't necessarily a band behind all his hits like the Beatles.

Or space channel 5 the next generation.

well let's see shall we... the jurors came out and said they didn't think he was innocent, but the law forced them to the not guilty verdict.

are we supposed to change our minds about him because he upped and died?

i respect people who earn it, he was a great musical talent, but he was a screwed up human being who was involved in very dodgy things.

and LOL so much at all the game suggestions so far

My god those are the real lyrics???

Ok, ok. So maybe I'm wrong. THe idea of a little kid driving around Neverland in a Mario Kart, picking up power ups of pills and booze...I'd buy that :)

One case settled out of court for $22 million (helloooo) and you take it for granted? Isn't it obvious that they were just trying to cash in on him? If MJ did hurt that kid, then any decent parents would have wanted him punished, right?

In fact, after he died the kid even admited that he lied because his father forced him.
