Start of deliveries of Shuttle's new Mini-PC Barebone for simple applications

Extension of the Basic product range with the Shuttle Barebone K48

Shuttle Inc., the market leader in the mini-PC segment and the manufacturer of Multi-Form-Factor solutions presents its second Mini-PC Barebone for users of simple applications. For everyday use Office, the internet and email do not require an oversized specification that delivers maximum performance. A processor from the entry-level segment, suitable memory and hard disk saves investment costs and energy.

"The highly increased performance values of components from the entry-level segment due to constant further developments have made it possible to offer Mini-PC Systems at extremely attractive prices", explains Tom Seiffert, Head of Marketing & PR at Shuttle Computer Handels GmbH. "Following the trend for a second PC, this is a crucial benefit".

The specification of this new Mini-PC illustrates the breadth of possibilities. The Intel 945GC chipset is suitable for Intel single and dual-core processors and supports up to 2 GB DDR2 memory. Both monitor outputs (DVI + VGA) permit dual monitoring and therefore provide more screen surface if required. An immediately identifiable difference from the first K-Series Barebone K45 is that the new K48 has the option to insert an optical 5.25" drive. A suitably sized and very efficient power supply with 100 Watt is used as a reliable power source. Data and content is transferred at high-speed via the integrated gigabit network interface. The changeable front panel gives the Shuttle Barebone K48 an instant individual look and images, information and logos can be integrated easily.

The Shuttle Barebone K48 is available from local retailers immediately.
Shuttle's recommended price is EUR 110 (without VAT).
