Ubisoft beats sales targets, delays games

Ubisoft has delayed four unannounced games, which seems a little weird to us...

Ubisoft has done very well these past few years and has knocked out a fair few successful games, with even more on the way if you buy into all the hype surrounding Assassin's Creed.

In fact, the company has done so well that it's revenue has climbed by 52 percent according to Gamespot and, as some sort of twisted consequence, has delayed four games.

In a week which has already seen delays for games like Army of Two on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, as well as several other less impressive titles, this is actually little by way of surprises.

What is a surprise though is which games have been delayed - because nobody knows.

Ubisoft made the announcement late yesterday and said that four games will be delayed, but has not released information on which games or which platforms. When pressured the company admitted that the delayed games haven't actually been announced yet anyway.

Announcing delays for unannounced games? It's a new paradoxical low, but what do you think of Ubisoft? Tell us in the forums.

Awww... did they? Bum chunks!

I hope they are using the time to remove any traces of it being a console port.

as XNA can compile games for PC and 360, the only ports the PC will be getting is from PS3 games.

remember.......write once and compile twice!!! LOL!

Announcing delays for unannounced games?
Maybe they did it to spare us from the disappointment of a delay-announcement after they've announced the games?
Or the games will be announced and at the same time they will announce they've been delayed?
Man, that totally did not make any sense at all :D

its marketing strategy, since everybody is all over crysis in a few weeks. It makes sence to delay the release. I would say (i dont know) till eh.. around 25 of december?
