You wouldn't have thought it from Foxconn, would you?

You wouldn't have thought it from Foxconn, would you?

Foxconn, maybe a maker of all things PC, but it certainly isn't known for its ultra desirable cases. This could change, given the fantastic looking concept chassis it was displaying on its stand.

If you look closely, it appears rough around the edges because it's currently handmade. However, we can't deny that the sleek minimalist look, akin to a lovechild of our favourite Lian Li & Cooler Master cases, is certainly a design that makes us want to own one.

Of the two, the second is unfortunately a bit of a let down to the first, being a bit too 'heavy' without the refinement, in our opinion.

There was no time/date or even anticipated price given as yet, but we'll keep pestering Foxconn for updates for you, you can be sure of that.

What are your thoughts on Foxconn’s chassis? Tell us in the forums.

Second case looks ugly as hell, but I would DEFINATELY buy the first!

Even if you don't like the minimalistic look, imagine the possibilities of the mods that could be done.

It's so shiny it looks plasticky...
Though yep, it's certainly nice.

They make plenty of things for Apple, why wouldn't they rip-off their designs?

That's just the G5/Mac-Pro without Mesh.

Looks sexy, though I hope they keep the same quality in terms of inside layout too, because no matter how pretty the outside is, if the inside is a nightmare, then no thanks

they look cute, me hopes they are cheap and good. :D

Put that sliding door mechanism from the second case on the first case please!

I just HATE doors. I hate them so much. I dont even care if it is the most beatiful case in the world or if i would get the most expansive case in the world for free. If it has a door. Keep it.

so.. no news on these cases? not even their name? :|
Quote specofdust 5th July 2007, 12:43
As with everyone else I think the second case sucks. The first one though...I'm not so sure about. I can kind of see why some might like it, but it just seems too bland to me, and that's coming from a P180 owner/lover.

If this is as close as it gets to the G5 chassis, then I'm sold.

I've heard nothing, after all they were prototypes. I'll badger our Foxconn contact for more details though ;)

OK bad news folks:

Unfortunately these cases on show were just concept designs and will not be manufactured. Just to show what Foxconn is capable of manufacturing and designing. Im sure aspects of concept ideas will filter through to mass produced products.

:(
