Master Chief will be in Beta in Spring.

Master Chief will be in Beta in Spring.

If you happen to live in the US and A, whilst also owning a lovely Microsoft Xbox 360 games console system online multimedia thingy, you need to bookmark the 4th of December in your diary.

Why? Because that's the day that Microsoft is accepting Beta signups for Halo 3.

No news on exactly what's in the Beta, but we suspect it will be a multiplayer map or two and a limited weapon selection.

The official GamerScore Blog says that those registering now will get to play in Spring 07, and "Through the resulting feedback, Bungie Studios will be able to further refine and hone the end result of Halo 3."

If you don't live in the States and you like Halo 3, you are totally SOL. This is annoying, since I am one of these people. Isn't there a way to geo-IP hack my Xbox Live account?

Will you be getting up early to get on the beta? Let us know over in the forums.

I'm pretty sure that if you used something like TOR and ran you X360 through your PC you *may* become American :p

So much for the "global" market, eh Micro$oft? :/

Being able to create Xbox Live accounts in a region your not in is now going to be stopped by Microsoft.
Quote DXR_13KE 1st December 2006, 13:20
maybe USA people are the target market and they are using USA ginny pig to test it.

global market indeed....

Mother******s

I guess it's because americans are the main buyers of 360 as they're probably trying to minimise the lag for testing, although whats the point in even testing it if you're not gonna test it how it will released to the public. Unless they plan on releasing this game only in America

While I rate regional stuff, I really hate the public beta thing. Especially when the final, shipping version *still* is buggy. How about they start offering an incentive for doing their job for them... like a discount on the final version or something.

Appearently they did that with Vista. All the long term testers got a free copy of ultimate in the end. Given the relatively small number of beta testers and the zero distribution costs, it would seem reasonable to reward those who took an active role in the process with free product. Probably also generate some good PR unless the game is bollucks.

Hey now... I'm sure there are perfectly good reasons why they're limiting the scope of the beta distribution.

[childish taunting]Even though I don't have an xbox, neh neh neh neh nah nah. =P[/childish taunting]

There are a lot of PS2 games that are released only in Japan and some ppl I know spend double the price for the imports.

You guys in the UK have the Nestle Aero bar. Here it costs $2.75 a bar if one can even find it.

Europeans have Strawberry Fanta, or had it at one point. How do I know this? The last few times I was in Vegas (maybe a decade ago), they had it in the "International flavors" section of the tasting section of the Coca Cola shop.

You guys get Dr. Who many months ahead of us. Season 2 isn't even over here and you guys get the start of season 3 in less than a month (at least 1 episde).

AND a lot of electronics products here have risen in price because the factories had to become ROHS compliant. Silver is worse for the environment than lead!! (I think).

What was my point? Oh yea, nah nah nah haha.

Those god damn americans!

Oh wait...
Quote DougEdey 3rd December 2006, 08:27
We never had strawberry Fanta. Doesn't sound like a real Fanta flavour anyway (no citrus).

You guys get a lot more then us anyway in general.
Quote DXR_13KE 3rd December 2006, 12:28
how about fashion fruit fanta? :p yes it exists here.....
