Steampunk is getting ever more popular, and as is the way of things, so are different takes on this fabulous style of modding. Elladan is venturing into the unknown with his project Steam'n Geek - an interesting foray into a mix of steampunk and modern hardware and aesthetics.
Early renders showed a large cube case with a recess cut in to the roof to make way for exposed water-cooling tubes. It's certainly one of the more powerful-looking steampunk PCs we've seen and the beginnings of the project looked equally impressive with the keyboard already modded in true steampunk style.
The metal frame of the case quickly came together and was quickly modded and filled with water-cooling hardware, including copper-plated barbs. The case has since received some wood cladding, weathering effects and the beginnings of some steampunk detailing.
The case is receiving more details all the time, with some illumination and weathered waterblocks the latest targets of Elladan's efforts.
