Mod of the Month October 2011

Mod of the Month - October 2011

It's now the penultimate Mod of the Month before the modding world's most prestigious modding competition comes your way - the bit-tech Mod of the Year. We've seen hundreds of fantastic projects this year, but there's only space for a select few to be nominated - feel free to send us your top five nominations to modding@bit-tech.net, and we'll add them to our shortlist.

There are still plenty of new projects hitting our forums, though, and we've got six new ones for you to feast your eyes on this month. If you're new to bit-tech and modding, or haven't ventured into our forums yet, make sure you check out our Modding and Project Logs forums, as well as our Modding section, where you'll find guides and articles written by the makers of some of the best projects we've seen.

We're proud to have the legendary Mnpctech sponsoring Mod of the Month. The Mnpctech guys are regulars on our forums and, in addition to being avid modders themselves with some awesome projects to their names, the Mnpctech online store is also well worth a visit from every modder.

Prize 3 - 'Mod of the Month' Copper Edition PC Mod Ruler by Mnpctech.

This ruler is CNC-machined from 1/8in pure copper, and weighs 454g. It's also worth checking out this fantastic video showing how the ruler is made.

Thanks to Mnpctech for stumping up such fantastic prizes again this month. Last time, we had six new projects going head-to-head, and each one has the potential to become a big hit. Gymkhana Mod - forum user Moddingboy's spectacular case mod came first, ahead of Multi Hex by Archer. Meanwhile, we had a tie for third place between AMD Bulldozer 8-Core Tribute by TheGreatSatan and R-kaid-6 by quizz_kid.

Back to this month, we've got six very promising projects for you again, so it's time to vote for your favourites. Don't forget that you can also now vote for more than one project if you're finding it tough to choose a favourite.
