Me and my son (who has Cerebral Palsy, Seizure Disorder and Autism) had it torn down to nothing in less than one hour of receiving it. Next, I decided the motherboard tray wasn’t going to cut it for what I had in mind for this build.
Also, I don’t do sketches or anything like that. I see it in my head and just build. So I pulled out my favourite modding tool, my handy Rotozip, and went to town (do not remove safety features of tools like I did). And here is what the motherboard tray looked like at this point. Way stronger, able to handle the amount of water cooling that was going into this build, and way cleaner then the stock tray as you will see later.
By this time I figured out the theme was going to be based on the N7 Armor and the red and white from the Mass Effect 3 logo. So tons of carbon fibre had to be in the theme. Also, I and some folks at NZXT wanted to incorporate the Normandy into the build somehow.
