Hanging in the Balance by Chris Albee

A word from Chris:
The design of my case comes from that of a balancing clock, except I’ve added a base for stability. The base, two arms, and the hanging arch will be made out of solid wood. The design as shown will be maple or curly maple for the base, and upper arm. The lower arm and hanging arch will be either black walnut, or African wenge. The main enclosure will be made out of plywood, with quilted sapele (mahogany) veneer, with a smoked acrylic window. The main enclosure won’t look like a bunch of panels when completed, but rather a seamless box.
