August 2013 Bit-tech Modding Update

It's that time again - we're back with another look at some of the best completed projects from our modding forums. We've got four fantastic projects to show you this month and we've also been hard at work adding projects you've submitted to our modding indexes too. The Case Mod Index has several new cases such as NZXT's Phantom 820 and Cooler Master HAF XB and a new case manufacturer too in the form of CaseLabs. We're still working on the Scratchbuild Index and will hopefully have added everything in the next few weeks.

For those unfamiliar, the Case Mod Index is our database of case mods, and it now has over 130 projects, all filtered by case manufacturer and model. You can see what others have done with a case you might own or be thinking about buying, and see whether they've water-cooled it too.

Meanwhile the Scratchbuild Index is a similar database except it features cases made from scratch, filtered by materials used, motherboard size and case type. It's a great way of finding some inspiration for your new projects.

August 2013 Bit-tech Modding Update UK modding and watercooling etailer Specialtech is offering a Phobya TPC 5.25" 4 Channel Fan and Temperature Controller every month and we'll be shipping the prize worldwide so everyone can enter. The winner for August is skyrip who submitted the first Cooler Master HAF XB to the Case Mod Index. The eYe is a spectacular water-cooled take on this very unique desktop-style case - we imagine Cooler Master could only have dreamed that someone would go to these lengths with the HAF XB. You can check out skyrip's project log here or see the project in glorious 1080p in the video below.
