Mod of the Year 2009

bit-tech Mod of the Year 2009

We've seen it in Mod of the Month. We've seen it in modding features. We've also seen it in our modding forums. We are of course talking about the epic show of skill that we've been graced with in 2009 with the numerous scratch builds and mods that we've seen spring out of our community.

With the year drawing to a close and Christmas now upon us, it's time to turn up the heat. We've searched through the scores of extraordinary projects that we've featured this year and come up with a list of twenty. This includes completed projects from Mod of the Month, those that have been featured on the prestigious front page of bit-tech and one or two that we think were eye-popping enough to also be included.

It's one of the biggest modding competitions around and the winner stands to gain the ultimate in modding glory - the bit-tech Mod of the Year crown. It's not only the top three on the podium that stand to win some great prizes though. It's you the readers too. So take some time out from all that turkey, chocolate and those mince pies, feast your eyes on this lot.

Whether you went weak at the knees when you first saw it earlier in the year or if you're discovering some new projects for the first time, vote for your favourite and you'll be in with a chance of winning some great prizes as well. Good luck to our twenty nominees and merry Christmas to you all from us here at bit-tech. Don't forget, you can sign up to our daily newsletter about new things appearing here at bit-tech and if you spot an awesome mod somewhere or if you think you have what it takes to compete with the best of the best, let us know at modding@bit-tech.net.

Finally, as we've received quite a few emails about this, we've included a set of wallpapers for your desktop of this year's most photogenic builds which you'll find on the last page. Enjoy!
