A thorny issue

It was time to make the large thorns for the roof... Sawing through 5mm aluminium is not that funny.

About three hours and a lot of hot metal later this is the result.


After some sanding and brushing, we have some metal for the roof.


I had the thorns attached to the roof by a local welding company, and the brushing gave the whole thing a nice finish.


The top is starting to come together!


I rolled the tower for the top of the building out of aluminium and also created some smaller thorns to go on.
