Detailing the side

When the black paint had dried, it was time to start working on the details. I used a combination of brown, green, grey, black, silver and white paint to get the effect just right. I used a lot of dry brushing to highlight the right bits.

I added some hoses here and there to make it look more 'bio' and 'mechy'. The result is that the side looks like a part of a very complex machinery, and that was exactly what I was aiming for. The side turned out better than I could have hoped for.

I placed the three Raptors under the side to get a preview of what it would look like in the end. Here's the first test with the side mounted on the case. On top of the case you can see the massive radiator package that I will use.
